Biography

Victor Gonzalez (born July 1, 1983 in Rancagua, Chile) is a Chilean
multi-style musician, bass player, teacher and composer.
At age 18 he began to study music in his hometown.
He then studied in Santiago, Chile and was a member
of the Youth National Orchestra of Chile.
A few years later he won an international competition to study
at The Queen Sofia’s Superior School of Music in Madrid,
one the most important conservatories in Europe.
He played with the JONDE (Young National Orchestra of Spain)
as an invited orchestra member and was a member
of the Sony Chamber Orchestra, among others.
In 2012 Victor won an international competition to study

at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Berklee is one of the most important music schools in the US.
He had a successful academic career, making the Dean’s list repeatedly
and receiving other recognitions like the Bass Department
Achievement Award in 2016.
In 2017, he graduated from Berklee College of Music with honors
as a Music Performance Major.
Victor has had a successful career performing with orchestras
such as the Boston Civic Orchestra, New England Philharmonic, Longwood Symphony Orchestra, Boston Chinese Traditional Orchestra,
Berklee World Strings Orchestra, Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra, Mercury Symphony Orchestra, Metrowest Symphony Orchestra, The Ambient Orchestra, and others.
He has played and collaborated with important artists like Dream Theater, Kenny Werner, Jacob Collier, Pablo Ziegler, Tigran Hamasyan, Nobuo Uematsu, etc. In 2015, he was invited to perform with his group on a tour around China and Taiwan. In 2016, he was part of a tour in Mexico with the music theater “Matilda.”
The same year he taught two open master classes in classical, popular and jazz music in Chile.
Victor Gonzalez is known as a multifaceted artist musician, active session player, recording for new artists’ albums, short films, videogame soundtracks, and commercials. In 2017 he moved to Nashville, TN, where he is living, working and playing with the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra.
